Vice President, Scientific Services – US East Coast
Our client is looking for an experienced scientific leader to co-lead a major global account within the rare disease space.
This is an exciting opportunity for a med comms professional to partner with clients at a strategic level, driving impactful scientific communications, digital projects and medical campaigns across a diverse portfolio of marketed products and pipeline assets.
The role:
• Lead and grow a high-performing team of scientific writers, providing mentorship and strategic guidance
• Build trusted client partnerships and help shape medical and commercial strategy
• Oversee high-quality scientific content and communications across a complex, high-volume account
• Identify opportunities for business growth and expand client partnerships
• Collaborate with the scientific leadership team to drive innovation and agency-wide initiatives
The requirements:
✅ PhD, MD, PharmD or another advanced doctoral-level degree
✅ 13+ years of experience in medical communications
✅ Rare disease therapy area expertise
✅ Exceptional scientific writing, strategic advisory and account leadership skills
✅ Proven experience in people management and team operations
✅ Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and compliance
